Bee's Are Best Pollinators

Honey bees have hairy bodies that easily carry pollen grains from flower while foraging. Honey bees require large numbers of Nectar and pollen to bring their offspring. For this purpose they visit flowers regularly and in large number to meet their food. Honey bees are expert workers. Bees play a very critical role in agriculture. Their gifts to us honey, pollen and wax that we harvested from their hives.
History Of Bees

Bee's have been existed on earth since 100 to 140 millions of years ago. It is thought that bees are evolved from hunting wasps, which acquired a taste for nectar and decide to become vegetarian but they were made honey bee's. Some people believe's that bees are created from carcasses of dead animals. The name ''Melissia'' is derived for Honeybee's. Honeybee's are also mentioned in Bibble and in Sanskrit text. The first record of honey harvesting is a cave painting in 6000 to 8000 years old caves in Spain.
Bee's Anatomy

Honey bee's have 170 odorant receptor's and have have very huge sense of smell. There sense of smell is 50 time great then dog. Their antenna have have more then 300 taste receptors. Bee's have 2 stomachs. One for eating and one for storing nectar and changing them in honey. Honey bee's have 5 eyes. They can't see red light but they see ultraviolet rays on flower leaves. Their brain is size of sesame seed.
Bee's Behaviour
Each female bee make their own nest, lay their own eggs. They found nectar and pollen for their offspring at their own, without help of any other bee. She often dies or leaves their nest before her offspring emerge. Mostly honey bee's made nests in dead woods. On single foraging trip a worker bee visit's 90 to 100 flowers. When a bee find a source of food they call many bees. A single bee can carry 35% of their weight in pollen. When they return to their hive they make Waggle Dance. Waggle dance consist of two phases. On combining of these phases made a figure of eight. Every bee complete this figure 1 to 100 times. When the weather gets hot all bee's gather outside the hive in order to keep them cool. Bee's also communicate with in the hive by releasing chemical called pheromones. Bee's can also sleep but how deep and how long they sleep this depend on their age.
Types Of Bee's
Queen Bees

Worker Bees
Worker bee's are developed by Fertilized eggs. They are 70% genetically related to each other where as humans are 50% related to each other. Due to this closeness they are called super sisters. The role of worker bee is changed by their age. Worker can fly up to 20 miles per hour. To meet this they can beat their wings 200 times per second. This create the iconic sound ''BUZZ''.
Drone Bees
Drone bees are developed by unfertilize eggs. Drone bees have larger eyes on their in order to identifying queens during mating season. During mating period there are 10 to 15 % drones in hive. In mating season many drone came from different hives in drone congregation area to mate with queens. Virgin queen will mate with 10 to 40 drones.
Inside World Of Hive
The wax comb in hives are created by worker bees. After these process they chew hive in order to make them soft. After this they used this wax to form hexagonal cells, these cells are called combs. These combs are used for three purposes, to store honey, to transform pollen into bee bread, or to raise new bees. bees made their hives according to their health. Healthy bee hives have house of 2000 to 8000 bees.
Bee's Honey
Honey is 25% more sweeter then sugar. A dark or brownish honey has more antioxidant then light honey. Honey bees can visit up to 2 million flowers to make 1 pound of honey. The number 1 honey producing state is north Dakota. Honey bees are only insect in world which make food that is consumed by humans.
