The membrane around the lungs of dolphin is elastic and thick. They have very efficient transfer of gases from lungs to bloodstream.

It is said that dolphin's have large brain then humans and are more intelligent then humans. Their brain weight is 1600 grams. They have complex neocotrex, which is the part brain that allows them to solve problems and be self ware. Dolphins are such intelligent that some searches said that their intelligent is like chimpanzee's and great apes. The mirror recognition in front of dolphin's show their great intelligence. A female bottlenose dolphin uses the sponge as a tool in order to dig up their prey from the sea surface. The only dolphins knows this type of tool.
