Arctic And Woodland Bear
Bears are highly evolved social animals with intelligence comparable to that of the great apes. They are very strong and powerful animals. Bears have great sense of smell, sight and hearing. They have largest size of size among all carnivores. They open car doors and windshields in search of food. They also roll huge rocks for food. Bears are very curious animals and spend a great deal of time looking for food.
Habitat & Diet
Polar bear live in arctic region like Canada, Alaska, Russia, Greenland and Norway. They spent their whole life in ice sea, where they hunt, rest, breed and care for their young. As the arctic top predator, the Polar bear's biggest threats are humans and climate change. Polar bears have large paws that help them to walk on ice. Their thick and warm fur helps them to easily survive in ice. Polar bears largely eat ringed and bearded seals, but depending upon their location.
They live in all types of habitat, which includes mountain, forests, grasslands and even deserts. They are omniovores and eat animals and plants, but most of their diest cionsists of grass, leaves, berries and nuts, but they also eat fish, insects and small mammals as they require a higher protein diet after hibernation. They typically occur along river for hunting fishes.
Physical Abilities
As well as reaching speed of upto 6m/h in the water, polar bears can swim over large distance in cold water. They swim from one piece of ice to another. Their large paws are special adapted for swiming, which they will used to paddle through while holding their hind legs flat like rudder. They also have raw power when try to kill prey. They have strength to pull a mid-size seal out of water. Polar bears also have unique sense of hearing and smell. They detect their prey underice.
Bears see colour in colour and have good vision, similar to humans. Bears are fast and run at the speed of 60 km/h. Bears demonstrate complex emotional and cognitive abilities. They are excellent communicators and have great memmories, problem solving and capable of performing different tasks. They are very strong and lift weight of 500 kg because they have very strong legs.
