Tall And Amazing
Giraffe: the tallest land mammal on Earth, with a 6 feet long neck. The giraffe is also known for their unique brown and white pattern on it's coat. Their lengthy eyelashes and legs also increase their beauty. Giraffes are hoofed mammals and belong to giraffidae family. The scientific name of giraffes are Giraffa Camelopardalis. They are founded in Africa. The size of baby giraffe at birth is taller then humans full growth.
Habitat
Most of giraffes live in grass land and open woodland in Africa. Some of these are found in reserves of South Africa. Giraffes are also found in Desert landscapes to woodland and Savanna environments soth of the Sahara, or where trees occur. Giraffes do inhabit certain forests, but those that have more open space.
Giraffe Abilities
Giraffes are tallest animal on lamd. They are very fast and run at the speed of 35m/h. Their neck is long but can't reach on ground easily. Giraffes drank water only once in few days. Due to their height they see danger far away. When they see danger they make alarm which alerts other animals. Giraffes are greedy-guzzlers. Giraffes fight with their head. They are dangerous animal. They also have short horns. They only feed upon high leaves. Giraffes also balance ecosystem because they eat leaves on that height that which others can't reach. They also have very keen hearing sense. They hear sounds that humans can't hear. As humans fingerprint can't match, the fur pattern of giraffes never match. Giraffes only sleep for more then half hour in a whole day. If they aren't hunted by their predator they live about up-to 25 years.
Breeding Season
Most giraffes birth take place from May to August. Female giraffe breed every 20 to 30 month's. The gestation period is about 14-16 month's. Female giraffe reach sexual maturity at age of 3-4 years but they can't sex for another year. Female give birth while standing. At fall the baby giraffe is 6 feet tall and stand up in a hour and start running in a day. The mother cure their baby for 10-11 months but they begin to nibble on leaves at 4 month's.
