Despite how quickly pets grow up, Mandy Helwege has managed to preserve their journey with us. By combining pet images from their infancy and adulthood into one stunning image, "Seeing Double Edits," she captures each pet's own personality while demonstrating how they have changed over time.
Mandy's pictures honour a variety of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and more. What began with her own Great Dane has grown into a well-liked service that helps pet owners all across the world cherish their furry, feathery, or hooved companions for a lifetime.

"It has elevated the importance of these edits to a new level for me because Elliott, my Great Dane and the reason I completed these for others, was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma. I never wanted to report the loss of so many pet owners I've worked with or made these for, but I know I'll soon go through it myself, which makes my work even more meaningful. I'll be able to keep making these for other people as a way to remember everything Elliott was for and motivated me to take action."

Although the most of Mandy's edits are of dogs, she also has photographs of horses and cats in her portfolio. "Reptiles would be so cool!" was Mandy's enthusiastic response when asked if there are any creatures she hasn't worked with before but would want to produce a portrait of.

Regarding customer requests, Mandy has seen certain recurrent patterns in the kinds of adjustments that individuals seek. "The inability to choose a topic is the most prevalent tendency I observe. I always advise choosing the person who is most "them" and leading from the heart. The modifications that make you remark, "That's him or her," when you look at the article are always the most significant.
