The Grim Reaper is shown in several of Jenny-Jinya's comics in a surprisingly sympathetic light. We questioned the artist about what the Reaper means to her and what inspired this unusual depiction.
"The treatment of animals in our world has always crushed my heart. Animals must endure suffering at the hands of people everywhere in the globe, as can be seen by reading the news or the testimonies of animal rights advocates. And even though so much of it is so readily preventable, it seems strange that most people don't give a damn. I had read about mistreated and abandoned pets before I made the first cartoon. Despite having done nothing wrong, these creatures were denied happiness for a single day.
